The Journey of Love is
an annual conference that started in 1992 in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
The goal of this conference is to bring together delegates from every state
in the U.S.A. where our Mother Thrice Admirable visits homes. However,
delegates from other countries have also attend, and they are always
welcome.
The conference starts
on a Thursday evening and lasts until Sunday morning. It is an
excellent chance for coordinators and/or their representatives to network
with others. It is also an opportunity to learn more about Schoenstatt
spirituality and to enhance and strengthen one's faith with an increased
awareness of what it truly means to be a part of the Schoenstatt family.
To that end, a
theme is established each year and speakers and workshops are geared toward in-depth
talks and discussions on the subject. Speakers include a mix of
Schoenstatt priests and sisters as well as leaders in the Schoenstatt
family.
Masses are held
each day and an overnight Eucharistic Adoration is available. There is
opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. A rosary march is usually
planned, as well as time for visits to the Shrine.
An important
aspect of the conference is the Covenant of Love. This rite is usually
held in the Shrine.
