| On October 2, 2004, immediately after our
visit in Kenner, we headed out to Resurrection Church in New Orleans East.
There were many, many newcomers there and they received an informative
talk about the Rosary Campaign by Sr. Jessica. There was a slide
presentation about the Campaign all over the world, particularly in South
America. From there, we proceeded to Mass which
was presided by Fr. Michael Nguyen. A
Pilgrim MTA was in the entrance procession and placed at the foot of the
altar.
We went back to the cafeteria for the conclusion of the
workshop. Two people made their Covenant of Love and it was the
first time that covenant prayers were read aloud. It touched the
hearts of everyone who was there and brought not a few tears to many.
After the Covenants, coordinator was recommissioned and 2 new
coordinators were commissioned. Refreshments were then served.
Gwen Bordenave did a
wonderful job of coordinating the meeting and getting the people together.
She even found the crown for their MTA that had
been missing since May! It came about when she was telling Cathy Johnson
how upset they were about losing the crown they had just purchased a few
months before. Putting the pieces together, Cathy realized that the
crown had inadvertently been left on
another Pilgrim MTA that was returned to her by Gwen!
For some reason, we don't have any pictures of the many
people in attendance, so our sincere apologies to all those in attendance! |
