Friends and family gathered at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Saturday,
November 13, 2004, for rosary and Mass to remember in prayer long-time
coordinator, Nina Stackpole.
Father Richard Miles celebrated Mass and did a beautiful homily on
resurrection and keeping Jesus alive in our hearts. Readers were
Janice Mau and Barbara Hebert; petitions were prayed by John
Strickland and Lisa Janusa led the singing with her angelic
voice. Nina's son, Tommy, and daughter, Mary Lou,
brought up the gifts. Mark Brasset, son of Mike and Donna, was
altar server.
Eulogies were given by Barbara Hebert, Lisa Janusa, Cathy Johnson,
and ________.
Nina was a very loyal, hard-working child of God who labored in the
vineyards of the greater New Orleans area and started 232 groups, many of
which are still in existence today. She organized many gatherings and
had the support of many priests in the area. She was responsible for
the beautiful banner which even made its way to Wisconsin for the Journey of
Love and the International Celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Exile
Shrine in Milwaukee.
Her legacy of bringing our Blessed Mother to so many Schoenstatt brothers
and sisters will live on in the Covenant of Love shared by all. We
have a powerful intercessor praying for us in heaven. I'm sure that
our Mother Thrice Admirable was there to thank her for her dedication and to
welcome her into her son's kingdom.
Many thanks to everyone who helped to make this tribute possible.
