| On September 29, Sr. Jessica and Alicia met
Cathy Johnson at the residence of Bob and Camilla
Ledet. The aroma of baking cookies wafted through the air,
giving everyone hunger pangs! On the stove simmered asparagus soup,
and plates of already baked homemade cookies and chicken salad sandwiches
lined the counter. After greetings and
introductions were made (including the Ledet's newest granddaughter), we
sat down to enjoy the fruits of their labor ... and it was delicious!!
But serious work lay ahead and the crew hurried to St. Joseph's Co-Cathederal
to set up for the first of two workshops that day. (After the first
workshop, it was back to the Ledet's for an absolutely delicious dinner of
crawfish pie!)
People were already seated and we hurriedly set up for
our meeting. It was wonderful to be able to meet many of the
people who lived in the "Bayou Country" and to share in their faith and
love of our Blessed Mother. One member made her Covenant of Love and
seven coordinators were recommissioned.
Here are some of the pictures from that meeting. |
