After
spending two weeks in September attending the 100th centennial jubilee of the birth
of John Pozzobon and pilgrimages to Brazil, Argentina, and Chile,
Sr.
Jessica and Alicia Fernandez (her assistant), spent a week traveling to
Alexandria, Marksville, Lafayette, and Carenco. From there, they met
with Cathy Johnson and spent a busy five days doing workshops in various
areas of New Orleans and in Gulfport, Mississippi. Two important meetings took
place. The purpose of these meetings was to introduce Schoenstatt in
detail to the people in the Archdiocese and to obtain permission from them
to go into schools and parishes, etc. Both meetings went well.

Bishop Rodi, Sr. Jessica, Fr. Dominic
-
Visit with
Fr. Dominic Fullman,
Director of Pastoral Ministries in the Archdiocese of Biloxi, Mississippi,
at which time we were introduced to Sr. Rebecca Wyskowski, Chancellor, and
Bishop Rodi.
-
Visit with
Fr. Joe Palermo with
the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Wehave received a letter from the
Archdiocese of New Orleans
giving us official clearance to go into the schools and parishes.
-
We also had a meeting with
Frs.
Richard Miles and Robert Guste to explain about Schoenstatt in greater
detail. It was such a pleasure to be with priests with such strong
devotion to our Blessed Mother!
